Google's series of holiday pop-up stores across America was a tremendous hit, and a memory worth preserving. That meant writing work to do! Copy for the official website, concepting and scripting a case study video, and a design board were all part of the project post-mortem.
Roles: Creative, Copywriter
Box was always an award-winner; my job was to make it official. I wrote scripts for our case study video, copy for the awards submissions and submitted them to four shows. We took home seven awards, including a Cannes Silver Lion, Young Guns' Best in Show, and One Show Gold.

Kiki's Cocoa is a boutique chocolate operation with a delightful attitude and product. Owner Kirsten Ritschel invited me to join the Kiki's Cocoa team to help her launch the new Beta Taster program, Kiki's Cacao Club, naming products and writing the accompanying materials for each month's collection.
The work has since evolved into a number of areas, including drafting a new mission statement, an article for Shyp, and the upcoming ChocoLit lab that creates custom-themed chocolate collections based on books.
Roles: Creative, Lead Scriptwriter
I couldn't have been more excited to be asked by Tarik Abdel-Gawad and Ashley Rodholm to write the press release and artists statements for "Francesca da Rimini" and its behind-the-scenes short, "Ballet Meets Robotics." Since their release, the films have been awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick and have received invitations to numerous festivals.
Parasound is the epitome of affordable design, but their website hardly reflected it. The new website, set to launch in Nov 2014, is a total strategic and content overhaul that embodies the sleek yet approachable attitude of Parasound's products.
Bot & Dolly brought two presenters to the 2014 Bloomberg Businessweek Design Conference in San Francisco: Director of Product Strategy Tobias Kinnebrew, and Scout, a 6-axis industrial robot.
I took the opportunity to not only be a speechwriter, but a character designer for Scout. We equipped him with a flipdot board - a low-resolution binary display - letting him make faces and quip alongside Kinnebrew.
For a conference about robotics in architecture, you could not ask for a better speaker than B&D's Product Lead Kendra Byrne. For her keynote address, we explored how robots and the tools we use to control them open up vast possibilities for creative expression.
No video is available for this presentation. Bummer.
O'Reilly's SolidCon is all about the intersection between the physical and digital worlds. For Bot & Dolly's keynote speech, we wanted to share with the audience how that divide narrows when robots can naturally speak the same way we do, and the progress we've made in pursuing that challenge.
