“We want you to be the voice of our chatbot.” Now that’s not something you hear every day. But eBay said it, and I heard it, and thus ShopBot was born.

Developing the voice of eBay’s Messenger-based bot was the first leg of my year inside eBay’s experimental arm, N. Another writer has since taken over since I’ve left (and she’s doing a great job), so the product is no longer a reliable reflection of my personal skills. But the principles and developed strategy live on. As do the deals, one hopes.

The Google Shop at Curry's PC World is the tech giant's first fully-branded retail space. Working with partners Jaunt and Mirada, we created a virtual reality tour for Google Cardboard. What started as a bonus extra for journalists has turned into a public release.

Google, Jaunt, and Mirada were all so pleased that the Google Shop app was their demo of choice for VRLA 2015.

Every Dang Word

Kiki's Cocoa is a boutique chocolatier in San Francisco. Already a fan of their products, I was delighted when owner Kirsten Ritschel asked me to come on board to write the announcements for their monthly chocolate club. It's been a lot of fun developing the warm, cheery voice of Kiki's Cocoa and helping develop partnerships with local illustrators and artists.

Copywriter

I came to Autofuss while they were in full-swing preparing Winter Wonderlab, a series of seasonal popup locations for Google. I joined on to help transition their public language once the installations had come down.
